Privacy policy

What we collect

Only what you type into our contact form. That is your name and email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and your answers to the questions for whichever topic you picked, things like how many caramel apples you are after or roughly how many people would be coming.

We do not ask for anything else, and there is nothing else on this site that collects information about you.

Why we collect it

To answer you. That is the whole reason. We use your name to write back properly, and your email or phone to reach you about what you asked.

Who else sees it

Your message is emailed to us and kept as a backup copy in a database. Three companies handle it along the way, purely as plumbing:

• Resend delivers the email to us, and the confirmation copy back to you.
• MongoDB Atlas stores the backup copy, so a message cannot be lost to a bounced email or a full inbox.
• Vercel hosts this website and runs the form.

Nobody else. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not hand it to anyone else who wants it.

What we do not do

This site has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no accounts to sign up for. We cannot tell who you are when you read these pages, and we do not try to find out.

Because we do not track anyone in the first place, a “Do Not Track” setting in your browser makes no difference here. There is nothing for it to switch off.

Links out to Facebook and Google Maps are ordinary links. Once you follow one you are on their website, under their privacy policy, not ours.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for 2 years and then delete them. Two seasons means we can look back at what you asked for last year when you come to us again.

That applies to the backup copy. The email itself sits in our own inbox, the same as any other message someone sends us.

Seeing, correcting, or deleting your message

Just ask. Write to hello@pigeonriverorchard.com or call (920) 316-7989 and tell us what you sent. We will show you what we have, fix anything that is wrong, or delete it. If you have the reference code from your confirmation email it makes us quicker, but it is not required.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not keep one.
